The journey, my life journey began over sixty years ago. and there have always been two distinct, yet perhaps complimentary pathways to my meanderings.

 I can remember way back, in fact it does seem to be one of earliest memories, that I was standing in the school playground perhaps at the age of 5 or 6. As I stand there I begin to  watch a bird. A small brown thing, probably a sparrow.  And in this moment I have a very interesting thought, even perhaps a creative epiphany. Hopefully this doesn't sound too pretentious. I knew in that moment that I could draw that bird. I could its shape and textures and something in me said you can do that. 

Two or three years later, I found myself unexpectantly in what was a church kids club. This was the one and only time I ever attended. My presence there that evening was largely due a girl I liked also being there. However, Father God was also there and as the leader shared a God slot verse from the Bible this 8 year old version of me was cut to the quick by what I heard. The free gift of God is eternal life, but the wages of sin is death.

I have always had these two pathways along which to travel, and here I am today still walking.
